Don’t risk losing your sight

If you or your loved one has Aged-related Macular Degeneration, there could be a risk of losing vision between doctor visits. Protect the gift of vision with the ForeseeHome AMD Monitoring Program. Dr. Rapkin is the only ophthalmologist in Indiana that offers this service.

Frequent monitoring at home with ForeseeHome provides a safety net for detecting changes in vision at home so a doctor can diagnose AMD early.

What can I do to protect my eyes?

According to the CDC, an estimated 93 million adults in the United States are at high risk for serious vision loss, but only half visited an eye doctor in the past 12 months. Taking care of your vision is important if you want to prevent sight loss or degeneration. Though visiting an optometrist regularly is important, there are also other steps you can take to protect your vision. We’ve created a checklist of actions and advice for preserving your eye health. Use this checklist to keep your vision safe, and protect your sight. Click here to download the Eye Health Checklist. #ProtectYourSight

What to Expect on Your First Visit
The patient procedure concerning paperwork and insurance is the same as for your normal eye doctor. At Retina Consultants, the patient’s pupil will be dilated and therefore you will need to arrange for a driver. This is true for all patients at all visits.

If you are at high risk for developing wet AMD, you can now take a proactive approach to your eye health. Frequent monitoring with the ForeseeHome™ AMD Monitoring Program provides a safety net for monitoring changes in your vision between office visits, allowing your doctor to detect and diagnose wet AMD at its earliest stage.
